1. Work with what you have. If your floors suck, change your furniture colors to complement the wood tone. If your paint color is atrocious, well, that you can change.
2. Don’t match the EXACT same tone of wood to your flooring. (Because that will just look like a blurr) nothing should stick out or draw attention to it. Same palettes create cohesiveness.
3. Focus on swapping out the key pieces in the room, the items that make the biggest visual impact, and let them do the heavy lifting.
