Pottery Barn or Home Goods Pt 33: Shelf styling. (Seriously walked away from this one battered and bruised 😂)

Highlights:
The triangle method: styling like-things together in threes so the eye naturally moves. Colors, textures, patterns.
Use anchors on the top or bottom shelves. Larger pieces ground the space and instantly give the shelf purpose.
Layer decorative art in the back, behind the decor, to create depth and dimension. And remember! A tchotchke always has to have a partner! So put a little bowl on TOP of books.. not by itself

Highlights:
1. Easy throw pillow rule: one quiet neutral, one textured, and one patterned. That mix keeps things layered without looking busy.
2. Wood tones and wicker are the ultimate transitional staples. Think a bold braided-edge tray or a solid, heavy wooden accent table—pieces that work year-round.

We’re backkkkk! Episode 30: Post-Holiday Decorating Reset. The key here is to keep it seasonal without feeling festive. Let’s do it

Highlights:
1. Remove all the red. Pack away Santa and anything that screams Seasons Greetings. Start fresh with whites, creams, soft grays, warm woods, and neutral foundations.

2. Wood tones and wicker are your new best friend (besides me of course). They’re quiet, always in style, and transition beautifully between all seasons. Add in chunky knit throws, textured pillows— more on this later— and woven baskets filled with blankets or firewood to give that cozy feel.

3. Cant believe I’m saying this but bring nature indoors. Swap the garland and pine for long bare branches and muted greenery stems. Add natural elements like pinecones, and throw in some of those pointless decorative wood objects on top of neutral-toned coffee table books.
