✋🏻 Handprint Alphabet Books ✋🏻

I’ve been slowly working on making these handprint alphabet books with my boys and look how precious they are turning out. I printed 2 copies of each letter and added them in to page protectors to place in these folders. I labeled the folders using my @cricut Joy. For the handprints I paint @crayola washable paint on to their cute little hands. I found baby wipes work better than a trip to the sink. I of course learned this the hard way. It may take me forever to get through all of the letters, but I am loving how these are turning out. Not only are they a sweet keepsake but they are a fun activity for us to do as my boys learn their letters and sounds.

🚙On the Go Sensory Box🚙

I love having easy activities for my boys when we’re on the go and after seeing @mommasociety share a car box she created for her kids I was inspired to create one for mine too. We were on vacation a couple of weeks ago and the boys were highly entertained at every restaurant by playdough and their race cars, so I knew this would be perfect for them. I of course had to personalize the pencil boxes with my Cricut using my favorite font for kid stuff (Clementine Creamery).

Their sweet voices at the end melt me… 🥹

I am forever grateful for how we get to spend our days right now, it is my dream come true. I put a lot of thought and prayer in to our schedule and routines and have had to learn to trust my gut on what’s best for our little fam.

We love slow mornings playing in the playroom, park days and playdates, picnics and going to the library. Our days are full of back yard fun, walks, lunch with daddy, FaceTime with family, games and puzzles, snuggles and stories, cooking and lots of time together.

We set up my dream school room back in March and I pinch myself when we’re in there together having fun and learning. (I plan on sharing a school room tour soon!)

Most days are loud and chaotic, but some moments are sweet and calm like this one, either way, these are the days. 🩵🩵

⛺️Cozy Reading Tent⛺️

We are gearing up for some extra wintery weather here in Texas and I thought it would be fun to set up a cute little cozy reading tent as a surprise for the boys this morning. I got this tent on sale around Christmas time and it was the first time we set it up, I didn’t realize how big it was! We all three fit inside of it and I can’t even tell you how many stories we read this morning. 📚

I say this a lot, but these are the days that I wish I could memorize and live over and over, snuggled up in a little tent with my 2 little cutie pies. Being a stay at home is endless hard work, but it’s truly the most rewarding and fulfilling job I’ve ever had. This morning while we were reading stories in the tent Charlie told me “mom, I’m happy, I’m smiling!” and honestly that makes this cold wintery day the best day ever.

✨Pantry Organization Update✨

I’ve been using my bread maker so much that all of the different flours I use threw off my pantry organization. For Christmas I asked for some new pantry canisters so that I could give all of the different flour a labeled home in the pantry. I’m so happy with how it turned out. I still can’t believe how many different flours can be involved in bread making, but I mainly stick to white/wheat/bread flour because it can be overwhelming to have and try so many different ones.

I love that the boys love making homemade bread in the bread maker with me, we talk about the different ingredients, measurements and more. I also love feeding them homemade bread with good ingredients.

I started a new birthday tradition this year and got a special birthday tablecloth and plate. I want my boys to wake up on their birthdays to a special birthday table so I was so excited to start this for Henry’s 2nd birthday this past weekend. I have the @ikea Kallax shelf in my office closet where the boys don’t go without me, so they can’t get in to everything and make a mess. I use sensory bins a lot to entertain the kids and being able to use and reuse sensory bin fillers is very helpful, these fillers will last for years as long as they are kept dry.

What is your little one’s favorite sensory bin filler? Charlie loves rice, I think it’s the sound it makes as he scoops and pours it.
