2/30: Capsule wardrobes always felt like an existential concept to me… dress COS, I'm wearing a size EU40, shirt is from Sezane and I'm wearing a size 16. Shoes are Everlane, red bag is Anya Hindmarch and tote is Gucci If you’re new here, hi! My name is Alison, I used to work in fashion but now I just care about how clothes make me feel. We’re all guilty of not wearing all the clothes we own and I especially am incredibly aware that I have an unusually large wardrobe. I don’t think I’m even wearing 25% of the clothes I own. Everything is too big or too small or too nice for right now. As much as I would love to do a good old cull, like the good old days, things are different now. Clutter to Capsule was inspired by a series of the same name that I did on TikTok, where I very brutally cleaned out my closet. I think I know a lot more about what my style is now though, meaning it’s not about what I like and don’t like any more. It’s just about what doesn’t fit and if I know anything in life, it’s that my body will probably continue to change and I’m not emotionally or financially ready to do that kind of purge. I’ve been quietly trialling this thing, where I put together a small, weather appropriate collection of clothes that I like, that fit and that work for the month ahead. It takes the pressure off first thing in the morning and takes the shame and frustration away when something isn’t right, right now. A couple months in and I’m ready to share the concept. There are a total of 18 items of clothing and 9 accessories. I haven’t limited the accessories element before though, so that part is new to me. I’ll be sharing this theory daily over the next 30 days and linking everything I’m wearing each day on stories. All will be saved to the highlight called 30/30. If you can’t find anything though, always ask! Ps: never let the laptop bag ruin the vibe LTKsummer LTKmidsize LTKworkwear
