Growing up, my dad used to say, “life’s not a fashion show!” — usually while hustling me and my sisters out the door. He wanted us to focus on school, sports, and working hard. But I’ve always loved clothes. Even though I didn’t have a lot, I felt the difference when I wore something I loved — it changed my mood. That feeling eventually led me to a dream job at J.Crew and Madewell HQ for ten years.

Fast forward to the chaos of pandemic life, working from home, and two little ones… I slowly slipped into wearing the same worn-out gym clothes all day. Not cute matching sets — I’m talking the actual sweaty workout clothes from that morning. 🫠 I told myself I didn’t have time for anything more — not a shower, not jeans, not makeup.

Then last January, after reading Atomic Habits, I made one small change: I decided to start getting dressed again. And wow — I didn’t expect what a difference it would make.

I’ve realized now — my dad was right. It’s not about a fashion show. It’s about showing up for myself. Choosing an outfit, putting it on, and instantly feeling a shift. More focus. More confidence. More energy — even if I’m not leaving the house.

Getting dressed has become one of the simplest ways I care for myself. Some days it’s subtle — a gentle reminder to be present. Other days, it completely turns things around.

This journey isn’t about dressing for others. It’s about feeling like the best version of you. And if you’ve ever felt like you lost a bit of yourself somewhere along the way — same. But small habits add up, and this one has been powerful for me.

Happy Tuesday all! Sharing today’s OOTD that I’m so excited about. I love some winter white with intentional and subtle pops of color.

Gap 100% cotton oversized crew neck is one of the best cotton crew necks I’ve found and the price is amazing. Currently on sale for $63, this sweater always sells out and for good reason • Citizens of Humanity Miro Jeans are one of my top 5 jeans. Love the subtle barrel shape to add some dimension and fun while still being classic. Love the almond white color to blend effortlessly with the sweater • A. Soliani flats are next level good. Gorgeous caramel suede that adds that pop of color against the white outfit. Linked a few other lower price point alts I also own and love • Madewell green side bag is sold out but also love their shopper tote that they make in a similar olive 🫒 green • Ray Ban sunnies, Amazon studs and a Tuckernuck bracelet to add a little bit of bling. I just love how the white outfit and gold go together.

Today is freezing, so I reached for this beautiful Haven Well Within Fair Isle (40% off!). It’s a truly great winter Fair Isle for well under $100. You almost never see this price for a Fair Isle (especially one that’s new) • Layer over a long-sleeve pointelle. Mine is J.
Crew but is sold out so sharing a Marea one that’s very similar. Varley cozy socks in a perfect chocolate brown, and my favorite Margaux winter boots — warm, easy, and pulled together.

I love, love an outfit that pairs high and low price points that can work together seamlessly. This outfit would be a great one to wear to the office! La Ligne Mini Marin sweater is one of my favorites and is a true investment piece. The beautiful collar and knit details create a sweater that makes you look twice without being loud. The seam detail down the back is a gorgeous addition to add even more texture. This sweater is so warm and soft I don’t ever wear an undershirt with it which is extremely rare for me • Jamie Haller Penny Loafers are another investment but truly like nothing I’ve ever put on my feet. Butter soft Italian Leather. Sold out in most places but found a few sizes on Shopbop • Levi’s 501 90’s are a great lower price point under $100. They’re so good I don’t hesitate pairing with this sweater or loafers. Beautiful winter white. • J. Crew Berkeley bag is also a great price for such a practical and versatile piece I use almost daily, especially when I’m carrying a laptop.

It’s officially winter sweater season and I was on the hunt for a cozy, warm and versatile piece I could wear all season long. This J. Crew Fair Isle checks all the boxes and for only $74 right now, I couldn’t recommend anything better. The beautiful but subtle pattern is a noticeable detail without being too loud or showy. The cardigan allows for more styling options than a basic crew neck. The last Fair Isle I recommended sold out in hours and I expect this to be the same!

Everything else I’m wearing is also on sale today and are all featured heavily in my rotation. Love my go-to J. Crew turtleneck (the perfect layering piece for winter) my best selling AGOLDE 90’s jeans (that I was able to find in stock), my everyday bucket bag (also J. $There are so many beautiful knits out there and there are some amazing options for under $100! In this post I share my top 6 (5 plus a bonus) and also link more options I’ve vetted and 100% stand behind. When I’m choosing a sweater, it has to be cute and warm but not itchy. Bonus points for extra soft fabric, durability and a detail or two that makes it unique. These are such great pieces for work, the weekend or even upcoming holidays! So here are the top 5 with sizing notes included: Abercrombie Easy Cable-Knit Mockneck super soft and beautiful cable knit details. A little mockneck this time of year is a great way to add a bit of texture to the look and to keep warm. Must be soft but not itchy and this one hits the balance perfectly. • Zara Jacquard Knit is giving off great Fair Isle vibes for a fraction of the price. The earthy chocolates and beige combination is hitting all the right notes trending this Fall. • Quince Mongolian Cashmere in grey. One of the most worn and versatile pieces in my closet. If there is one item from Quince on the entire website that they nail, it’s the Mongolian Cashmere. It blows my mind that they have such a beautiful and soft cashmere crew neck for just $50. The grey is so versatile and can be styled so many ways, making it a critical basic every closet should have • J. Crew 2025 Rollneck is a slightly more modern take (in a good way) to the iconic Rollneck from the 90’s. This sweater is so good and sold out incredibly quickly. They’re now taking pre orders for the next batch so I’d order now so you don’t miss it! • Quince Mongolian Cashmere in black this time. Did I mention how much I love the Quince cashmere? It’s so good I had to include it twice. Black is the other color I’d recommend first for the versatility, but I’m also really loving the chocolate brown right now. Boyfriend (read husband) sweater alert! Sometimes I gravitate towards men’s sweaters for the naturally oversized fit and this Alex Mill Donegal is the perfect example. It’s relaxed yet polished, very warm but not itchy and the flecked yard is just an incredible detail that adds just the right amount of surprise. Made for the north west coast of Ireland, this sweater is next level comfort for the elements but nice enough to wear to work. She comes in several beautiful colors too! • AGOLDE 90’s in the dark denim wash! These jeans have always been my summer go to in the lighter wash, but now that I found the dark denim, I’ll wear these on repeat all Fall and Winter long. These are truly at the top of my rotation • J. Crew relaxed premium weight tee is my absolute favorite for layering under sweaters. The collar peeks out perfectly from the crew neck of the sweater. • Liffner bag. Investment piece for sure but a worthy one! Ties every outfit together so beautifully in a chocolate brown that is the Fall color of the year. • Tiger sneaks always seem to sell out so make sure you heart on LTK to get alerted when they come back in stock!

Wearing my true size 25 • Loeffler Randall Landon Caramel ballet flats are gorgeous. I love the see through mesh and the cute bow to elevate the shoe. • And I’m obsessed with how my brown Liffner suede bag instantly makes the whole outfit feel cozy and fall-ready.
