We all know we don’t always have time to wait the full 8 hours for the tanner to set it. I don’t feel sticky with this and left it on for my normal 24 hours. lol. Also, say goodbye to missing spots on yourself bc this goes on as a dark color immediately. Now watch me mess up next week lol. I’m also loving this Jergen’s lotion. I’ve been putting it on everyday after I shower. I’m on day 4 of my tan and I’m still glowing. This is a quote I heard today while listening to a podcast. It’s so true though. No matter what you do, in the beginning you’ll feel uneasy about it. You’ll question yourself, hoping that no one is watching. The more you do it though your shell breaks. You’ll talk more about it. Sometimes teach others how to do it. Your confidence will show by the way you talk about.

I’m currently in the idk what the heck I’m doing stage with my boutique. It’s a learning process. Between buying inventory, website stuff, accounting, making spreadsheets. I’m learning something new everyday. I have self doubt and sometimes I get so overwhelmed with all of the new things that I end up going in circles. This quote has reminded me that unless I make actions I’ll never learn or gain confidence. I’m in hopes that a year from now I’ll look back this post and laugh at the things that I got flustered over.

This morning, as I’m half awake, trying to find outfit inspiration through Instagram stories, I noticed something. I kept hearing “I’m sorry I’ve worn this more than once but I love it”. I didn’t hear that from just one person but literally half of the people I listened to.

Why are we apologizing for wearing a piece of clothing more than once? Why are we spending our hard earned money on something we throw away after one time use? Why is this a trend?

I get, I did it myself too. You read that right, I DID do it but I don’t anymore. I used to think Sally down the road would notice I wore this outfit last week. When in reality no one gives an F and probably doesn’t notice if that outfit is new or not🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not going to promote wearing an outfit just one time. That’s just insane and not affordable.

Just imagine if we purchased a shirt for $30 and you made $15/hour. Which means you worked TWO hours for it and you only wore it one time. It really puts things into perspective when you do that. 😳Time is money.

Why don’t we make it a challenge and try to recreate outfits with the same pieces? Use your creativity, save your money, be smart, and don’t throw away your hard earned money.

If you could only have ONE cosmetic product, what would it be?

Mine is my @benefit Brow Pen. I started getting my brows waxed at the age 12 and if they weren’t waxed I was plucking them until there was nothing left. #PluckingBrowSyndrom

The past few years having thick and natural brows have been in. I have tried absolutely everything to get these babies to grow and they won’t. I began to fill my brows in about 3 years ago and I did it every. single. day. I would give my life for this brow pen, kidding(maybe not).

I have thought about getting my brows microbladed but the thought of someone messing my brows up TERRIFIED me. Then, I was introduced to Rose at @symmetrybrows She did a few of my friends and they all looked amazing. I pulled the trigger about 8 weeks ago and had them done. I just had my perfection session on Tuesday, and sweet jesus I’ve never been happier. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am.

Why do we always say, “going on vacation helps us reset”? Does it really? Last I checked, when I go on vacation I get out of routine. I stop working out, I sure as heck don’t work, and I eat all the goods. Then when it’s time to come back it takes me a few days to get back into routine. Please tell me if this doesn’t happen to you.👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Now, I do believe we all need vacations and but I THRIVE off of routine. It honestly gives me the best motivation.

This year I’ve already took three trips and I’ve noticed each time it gets more difficult for me to get back into the swing of things. I have to be honest, this time has been the hardest. It might have to do with a few other things but this past week I’ve been in a total funk. I’m tired, not motivated, not inspired, and getting online is the last thing I want to do. I’ve tried everything except for this one thing to get me out of this funk.

Want to know what it is?

I kept googling ways to “feel inspired” and I came across the quote I posted above. I read it and immediately started doing what it says. I began making myself do the tasks I was doing before. Get up on time, get ready, comment on Instagram, work on my businesses, go to work, workout, work some more, spend time with babe, go to sleep, and do it all over again. As much as I haven’t wanted to do some of those things I’ve pushed myself and I’m starting to feel like myself again.

Motivation can be tough to keep especially when eating fried foods and relaxing sounds better than working. Haha So instead of waiting on that next vacay just take the time and enjoy the routine you have. If you’re wanting to reach a goal continue to work on it everyday. As you see progress you’ll keep motivation and keep going.

Do you remember those times in high school when you’d wait last minute to finish a project? You’d be up late at night or up early in the morning rushing to get it finished. Yet, everything seems to go wrong. Your printer isn’t working, you can’t find a pencil, you forgot about something.. The entire time you’re blaming everything around you.. I remember that too and in fact that was partly me today..

I waited last minute to do my blog and planned to take pictures after work and make it live tonight. I started to take photos and it wasn’t going the way I planned.

You know what I did though? I stopped. I know if I continued I’d get upset over something I can no longer change. I now know that I need to get things done ahead of time. Today’s been a good day and I’m not going to end it on a bad note.

Today I was able to get out of bed without a struggle, I fueled my body with micros, and I made it to the gym today. I’m thankful for just doing those things💖

Having a social media account that you are expected to show up on a daily basis with a new trend, deals, content, whatever it may be can be difficult. Some days you wake up not inspired, or you feel tired, or that you never “live in the moment” because you’re mind is constantly running. You’re trying to take the best photo, now you need an even better caption, but it’s time to spend time with your family. Isn’t it crazy that we stress ourselves out that much over an Instagram photo? It sounds crazy but I can guarantee more than half the people reading this has had this happen.
