Guest Bedroom Ideas & Designs Remodeling a guest bedroom can be a great way to make your guests feel welcome and comfortable when they come to stay. To make sure the room is both inviting and comfortable, there are a few key elements to consider. First, choose a calming color palette to decorate the room. Soft blues, lavenders, and greens are all great choices. This will help create a relaxing environment for your guests. For our remodel we went with a beautiful blue/green tone with some creams and touches of wood and gold. This gave a calming effect but also tied the room into the rest of our home well. Next, invest in a quality bed and mattress. Your guests should not have to sleep on an uncomfortable bed. Make sure the bed and mattress fit the size of the room and can be used for multiple guests if needed. In addition, incorporate plenty of storage options. If your guests are staying for an extended period, they will need to store their belongings. You can put in drawers, shelves, or a wardrobe to provide them with enough space.
