Newborn essentials that made my life easier in the fourth trimester (and beyond) - and they’re all on sale at the minute!

Next2Me Magic 2 - we went with this one as it’s so versatile. You can rock it, use it as a travel cot, wheel it, and have it at different heights and positions. It helped so much with our reflux baby. We didn’t buy this to start with as we didn’t think we needed it but after 2 weeks of no sleep, we did. We got our first 4 hour stint in this cot as baby can see you from their crib unlike others and it made it so much easier to put her in and out after having a c-section. Don’t forget the sheets, you’ll need a fresh clean one at least one every other night!

Snuzpouch - these are the BEST sleeping bags. No blankets so less risk of anything getting over babies head (great for piece of mind). They have a zip for nappy changes and poppers that make them more snug for newborns. We have different togs as you need them depending on the weather, and you’ll need a few as babies will always get them dirty every night.

Baby bath seat - SO much easier than a baby bath. You can clean them one handed and it’s a hard plastic mesh so it won’t go mouldy or damp.

Swing - again, bought after a couple of weeks and we regretting not having it to start with. It helped her drift off, left me with free hand, and now she loves the sensory effect of swinging at 4 months old.
