Until today, I never imagined I could develop such adoration for a mailbox. Yet here I am, utterly smitten.

Sometimes, opting for a new piece with a touch of vintage charm is the more practical choice. Although I've dreamed of having a quaint vintage or antique mailbox adorning my curb, the reality is that despite my efforts I wasn’t able to find one that whispered “I’m the one,” fit my budget, met the modern day requirements of the postal service, and the functionality for packages.

The new one exceeded my expectations in how it compliments our 1912 home and extends the historic charm out to the curbside.

I love the idea of a simmer pot filled with fresh ingredients scenting my home. With a gas stove, it simply isn’t an option to have a simmer pot on the stove all day. This little crockpot is the perfect size and option. I enjoy mixing oranges, apples, cranberries, all spice, cinnamon, a dash of vanilla and water - it smells divine.
