I’m a 50 year old empty nester and I’m searching for all the joy I can find during perimenopause. Here are some (material) things that are giving me life at the moment! Anything not linked below is in my Amazon storefront!

Which is your favorite way to style them? (commisionable links) You know when your shorts disappear in the back? These have no waist gap, a little stretch, go higher up in the back of the waist and are slightly longer in back. If you have a butt or thicker thigh, they lay PERFECTLY. these are the curvy fit. I’m 5’4” and sized down. If you don’t get waist gap or don’t have a booty? Go with the regular fit and stay true to size.

What I learned packing for Europe last summer: ✈️Packed a powerful DUAL voltage steamer & hair tools, 2 good adapters, 1 converter & 2 portable chargers. ✈️Glad I packed flat handbags; wish I’d only brought two. It's Europe! You’re going to buy a handbag:) ✈️Leave Room. Bought an extra roller bag. bought 4 tubes of Marvis smoker whitening toothpaste in Paris, a denim jacket because it rained, fans and a few pieces from Zara in Barcelona, olive oil, a passport fold and bottega in Rome. ✈️About handbags: just like anywhere in the world, pickpockets love tourists. Kept my head on a swivel, stared down every person coming near me 👀 & only carried zippered bags in the cities- my tiny crossbody was the best- fit everything! ✈️Pack less shoes. We walked 20-30k steps a day in Paris, Rome, and Florence. Wish I brought 2 pair of wide base sneakers to alternate. Wore New Balance with my superfeet insoles a lot. Only needed those and 2 pair of sandals- 1 for beach & 1 for nice dinners. ✈️Pack less. I wore 2 shorts, 2 skorts, 4 pants, 4 dresses, 7 tops, 3 tanks, 2 coverups, 1 light sweater- that was with changes each day. Only needed 1 workout set & 1 swimsuit -Hand wash or laundry service! ✈️It was HOT but I wish I had a light jacket because on the front and back end of our trip Paris was cooler & rained both times. ✈️Glad I brought Amazon sunglasses- didn’t stress about losing or breaking. Wish I’d brought 2 instead of 3. ✈️Happy I packed a 32” silk scarf. Perfect for religious sites & added a pop to simple outfits. ✈️Used Rob’s under packing to my advantage! Kept stuffing things into his bag including a gallon ziplock of electrolytes 😂 ✈️I didn't use packing cubes- Laid the clothes to match the shape of my bag, and the bag itself compressed everything!
