For the last couple months I’ve been posting high fashion looks to my Instagram stories as inspiration for you to look at your closet a little differently. As much as you guys love it, I love doing it. I’ve been browsing “high fashion street style” on @pinterest for years now and in 2019 I am making a conscious effort to share with you things that bring me joy. Thus, high fashion inspiration every week. I thought it would be fun to do a weekly series called High Fashion at Home where I recreate the inspired looks with pieces I currently have. The looks I create are not typically a dead ringer for the inspiration photo because I’m only using what I already have but I will say I do come pretty darn close. Bodysuits: love em or hate em?? I’ll admit I was not on board until I tried the right one! Turns out they’re not all created equal! I’ve tried many that were too short or too uncomfortable and now that I know what to look for it’s much easier to find one that works. A few tips for you, 1.) If you have a long torso you’ll probably want to size up and 2.) Go for a thong version to save yourself from picking wedgies all night! When I say monochromatic looks we’re all over the runway last week at #nyfw I wasn’t kidding. I’m loving the trend because there’s a wide range of interpretations (swipe right) and they are all so good!
