I never thought I'd move to Florida, but here I am and I actually love it. 💕 I'll always miss and love NYC, but this is the best place for us right now. I love that there is no rush to do everything at Disneyworld in one day because I'm right here (yay for annual passes) and no rush to go to all the beaches at once because I'm on an eternal staycation. If you're new to Florida or are thinking about moving here, these are some of my top tips: 1. Wear Sunscreen Everyday: Your moisturiser with SPF is not enough for the Florida sun. Be sure to also put sunscreen on your face multiple times a day. Do not leave the house without it. Sunscreen is the best anti-aging technology we have to date and it's easy and affordable so take advantage of it. 2. Beach Days: The Florida beaches are amazing. I especially love the Gulf Coast. The best beach days are not in the dead of summer, but around March and April. It gets very hot and there is no shade on the beach. So a pool with shade is best in the summer. I still have so many beaches to explore. 3. It Does Get Cold: There are winter-ish days where it's 40 degrees. The next day it might be 80, but you still need to keep your winter clothes. It's kind of a novelty to wear them. 4. Don't Believe What You Hear: Florida gets a bad rep, but it's a super fun and diverse state. You'll find a place that is right for you.
