I never thought I'd move to Florida, but here I am and I actually love it. 💕 I'll always miss and love NYC, but this is the best place for us right now. BTW I'm obsessed with these @zerouv sunglasses! 😎I have them in three colors and counting. I love that there is no rush to do everything at Disneyworld in one day because I'm right here (yay for annual passes) and no rush to go to all the beaches at once because I'm on an eternal staycation. If you're new to Florida or are thinking about moving here, these are some of my top tips:

1. Wear Sunscreen Everyday: Your moisturiser with SPF is not enough for the Florida sun. Be sure to also put sunscreen on your face multiple times a day. Do not leave the house without it. Sunscreen is the best anti-aging technology we have to date and it's easy and affordable so take advantage of it.

2. Beach Days: The Florida beaches are amazing. I especially love the Gulf Coast. The best beach days are not in the dead of summer, but around March and April. It gets very hot and there is no shade on the beach. So a pool with shade is best in the summer. I still have so many beaches to explore.

3. It Does Get Cold: There are winter-ish days where it's 40 degrees. The next day it might be 80, but you still need to keep your winter clothes. It's kind of a novelty to wear them.

4. Don't Believe What You Hear: Florida gets a bad rep, but it's a super fun and diverse state. You'll find a place that is right for you.

The #evileye has gone mainstream! It used to be that to get a great piece featuring the iconic evil eye, you had to go on vacation to Greece, Eastern Europe, or the Middle East or have a friend go and bring one back for you. Now, I'm seeing them everywhere. Contrary to how the name sounds, the evil eye is believed to guard against misfortune happening in one's life and bring good luck. I absolutely love my evil eye pieces and they make great gifts.

I'm trying to share more on Instagram now - even if it's just sharing old photos. 📸 You see there's so much I haven't posted, because I was too worried about Iikes, my aesthetic, etc. I used to love posting here, but the algorithm has been getting me down. Not only has it felt like no one finds my photos, I see the same photos and the same people over and over again. I guess I miss the aspect of discovery I always used to feel here.

So many things have changed. Social distancing can be boring and lonely and I miss travel, family, friends, restaurants, coffee dates, fitness classes, etc. NYC is a completely different, desolate place right now. But, I'm grateful. 💕 So many people have lost so much and so far I'm safe, healthy, and still working. 💖 That's all I can really ask for. I don't know what lies ahead, but I've realized that even in "normal" times nothing is really certain.
