Anyone else dreading taking down their Christmas decor? Here are a few of my tricks to make life a little easier.... P.S. Check out my LIKEtoKNOW.it link for my favorite Xmas storage items. —> http://liketk.it/34RL3 1. Use large ziplock bags to sort your ornaments by color. Then place all the ziplock bags into a large storage bin. Don’t forget to label the bins with specifics! (Red ornaments, gold ornaments, white flower picks). You can use smaller ziplocks to keep all those extra ornament hooks together and throw those in too. 2. Purge the items you don’t love when you’re putting Christmas away! Like Marie Kondo says, does it bring you joy? If not, get rid of it. 3. Sort your items in categories. Sort by decor type, color, location, etc. This is where ziplocks can be helpful again. 4. Wrap Christmas lights around a piece of cardboard so you’re not dealing with a tangle of lights next year. They’re also easier to store because they’ll be sort of flat. Bonus tip: What do you do with those Christmas cards you received this year? You can use O rings found at office supply stores to punch a whole in them, store them all together, and attach a piece of paper or cardboard with the year in front. It will make storage neat and easy and it’ll be fun to look back at old Christmas cards year after year. liketkit @liketoknow.it
