Over a year in the making (yes, a whole year since I bought the tiles and we carved this space out of our kitchen extension)… our WC is finally finished (if you ignore that I still need to fit the door architrave that is (let’s gloss over that unfinished corner for now))! And it’s definitely a bold one. I’ve always thought the smallest room in the house is where you can have the most fun, and I really leant into that here. It’s a compact space (roughly 1.7m x 0.8m), which made finding the right sized pieces a bit of a challenge, but I managed to source the cutest little marble sink. Paired with unlacquered brass taps from Morocco (that will age beautifully over time), fluted glass lights, and of course… the real stars of the show: the tiles and wallpaper. There was quite a bit of space left behind the stud wall housing the toilet cistern so rather than waste the space we popped a cupboard in the back wall - you can never have enough storage! It’s probably a bit of a marmite design, and I definitely didn’t play it safe, but I absolutely love it even if having a wee is a bit of a psychedelic experience 😆 What do you think?
