Have you heard? Today is National Dog Day! Don’t want to imagine life without our Daisy. We’ve had her since she was 7 weeks old, but you’d think we rescued her from a life of torture and abuse - a constant nervous wreck. She once legitimately scared herself with her own toot. LOL.

🌈 This is my little girl’s room. A large bookshelf is key and will never not be useful, plenty of baskets for ALL the baby dolls and stuffed animals and I love this little 🎀 rganizer. Takes advantage of wall space while also serving as some cute decor.

📚We sort through toys pretty regularly around here. I even throw things out when they aren’t looking. Shh 🤫 #snitchesgetstiches. Yet, toys still end up everywhere. We recently had to upgrade my son’s storage system and ended up with this IKEA unit. I love it for a few reasons.

💰 Price. Just over $100. You CANNOT beat it.

💪🏼 Function. Baskets conceal and make clean up EASY. Just throw it in. These bins hide mountains of hot wheel tracks, building blocks and tiny plastic figurines that I pray won’t end up under my barefoot and give me a concussion. 🪦

🌈 Versatility. You can leave certain spaces blank for books, or add a basket to conceal items. They also sell cabinet doors and shelving inserts.

👦🏼 Kids can’t outgrow this. They don’t turn 13 and say “This shelf is for babies”.

💡 It can be repurposed! I could totally use these in my storage room. My heart rate just increased thinking about the options. 💗

🎀 If there were various tiers of organizing, putting together this baby nursery would definitely be in the top. Tiny shoes, impossibly small onesies, diapers the size of the palm of your hand. Just the best. Loved completing this project for my dear friend and first time mama, Shallie!

🍼 The sheer amount of STUFF tiny humans come with can be incredibly overwhelming. I remember being days away from giving birth and holding back tears trying to fit all the onesies and sleep sacks in a drawer. Then bawling about not knowing what half of the stuff was even FOR. 😂 I can laugh about it now, but in the moment it was NOT funny.

👶🏻Whether you’re an expectant parent, or you’re looking to give new parents something unique, consider the gift of organization. They can spend less time folding (and possibly crying lol) and more time resting up to meet their precious little one.

1. They hold A LOT.
2. Small footprint - so it doesn’t take up a ton of space - leaving lots of room for play.
3. The Kallax system comes in multiple colors and the bin options are infinite out there. If it’s in a family space - go with solids, neutrals or woven materials. Is it in a playroom? So many fun prints and patterns! Just measure first. 📏
4. The price! $180 for the largest size. Can’t beat it.
5. It’s versatile. When your kids outgrow the need for 51,286 tiny small toys, use it as a bookcase, office storage or at the very least move it into your storage room or garage for added storage and organization. The possible are endless.

Books in rainbow order. Like a Xanax to your instagram feed, right? It’s also great because toddlers even understand the system. Does that mean they’ll always do it? Of course not, but the same can be said about my husband who fails to understand the order of pillows on our bed.

📒 You know when you have your first kid and you keep this beautiful, carefully curated and up-to-date memory book?

🙋🏻‍♀️Yeah, me too. But then that baby grows up and life gets busy, or you add another 👶🏻 and life gets even crazier. Those memory books quickly take a backseat to running your life and keeping children alive. Silly priorities, right? 🤪

🌟I am such a sentimental person and I NEED a memory book for my kids, but I also need it to be easy. Here’s what has worked for me:

📔Pre-made memory books. There are so many varieties out there, but the @lucydarlingshop books have my heart. They are well made, so EASY to fill out and best of all, they’re still super CUTE.

📗They come with 4x4 photo openings which ends up working perfectly with the @shutterfly app. You can order FREE 4x4 prints through their mobile app (just pay for shipping). When the photos arrive just pop them in! Perfect fit.

📘Written prompts are already included for each month and/or year to make sure you remember the special moments and adorable things they say.

📙Ideally every 6 months, but more likely once a year, I go through the book and write down what pictures I need to order from Shutterfly to fill in the pages. Once the photos arrive it’s really just an hour or so of my time to catch up for the year.

📚 I got the baby books for each of my kids and once they turned 1, got the “Little Years” that cover years 1-5.

🌟My oldest is about to turn 5….and I have yet to discover what I’ll use next! If you have an album/system you love please share it below!

🎀 Rows of Bows! I am obsessed with this bow/headband/necklace organizer I found on Amazon. $18 and makes such a cute decor spot in any little girl’s room. In my experience, if a dresser drawer doesn’t have a basket, divider it’s destined for doom. Doom meaning = it’s gonna get messy.

Toddler clothes have a special talent for not only being tiny and cute, but getting themselves into a tangled rat nest. That’s why dividers and baskets are KEY in every drawer. Jammies stay put, teeny tiny biker shorts have a home and leggings stay lined up. Even though we she always reaches for the exact same pair of unicorn jammies every night it’s always nice to see your options.

I also linked my favorite pajamas for the kids! The tie dye are such great quality and on Amazon. GAP always has the cutest patterns and they stay soft with wash after wash. 🥳
