🧸Got kids? Got toys? Then my guess is you might have a toy problem. This cube systems is one of my favorite storage solutions for so many reasons.

1. They hold A LOT.
2. Small footprint - so it doesn’t take up a ton of space - leaving lots of room for play.
3. The Kallax system comes in multiple colors and the bin options are infinite out there. If it’s in a family space - go with solids, neutrals or woven materials. Is it in a playroom? So many fun prints and patterns! Just measure first. 📏
4. The price! $180 for the largest size. Can’t beat it.
5. It’s versatile. When your kids outgrow the need for 51,286 tiny small toys, use it as a bookcase, office storage or at the very least move it into your storage room or garage for added storage and organization. The possible are endless.

Promise. We’re not trying to get rid of ALL the books in your home. Mainly the ones that are taking up space, have already been read and aren’t going to be RE-READ — or dedicate this 15 minutes to decluttering your kid’s bookshelf.

📖 Maybe you fill a box with the books they’ve out grown, re move the ones that are severely ripped/eaten/drooled upon.

📦 Are your books in good shape? Consider donating them to a school, used book store, good will!

🌈 Legos sorted by color has an amazing calming affect. The trick is to get kids to keep them organized. I find not allowing them to play, or touch anything works best. Follow for more parenting tips and tricks.

☝🏼Ok. But really! If you have a kiddo that just “dabbles” in legos, or has a smaller collection these hardware organizers are fantastic. We use the smaller drawers to separate wheels, people, windows etc.

💁🏻‍♀️However, now the Lego collection is now OOC so we’ll be transferring all of this to the Ikea Trofast drawer system (see previous post!)

💡I’ll repurpose this guy in our craft room. It’ll be great for Pom poms, googly eyes, stickers, glitter and glue sticks! Oh the possibilities.

📚We sort through toys pretty regularly around here. I even throw things out when they aren’t looking. Shh 🤫 #snitchesgetstiches. Yet, toys still end up everywhere. We recently had to upgrade my son’s storage system and ended up with this IKEA unit. I love it for a few reasons.

💰 Price. Just over $100. You CANNOT beat it.

💪🏼 Function. Baskets conceal and make clean up EASY. Just throw it in. These bins hide mountains of hot wheel tracks, building blocks and tiny plastic figurines that I pray won’t end up under my barefoot and give me a concussion. 🪦

🌈 Versatility. You can leave certain spaces blank for books, or add a basket to conceal items. They also sell cabinet doors and shelving inserts.

👦🏼 Kids can’t outgrow this. They don’t turn 13 and say “This shelf is for babies”.

💡 It can be repurposed! I could totally use these in my storage room. My heart rate just increased thinking about the options. 💗

Books in rainbow order. Like a Xanax to your instagram feed, right? It’s also great because toddlers even understand the system. Does that mean they’ll always do it? Of course not, but the same can be said about my husband who fails to understand the order of pillows on our bed.

Multi-tasking can be tough. However, this little bookshelf? It’s a multi-tasking master. It serves as both an easily accessible home for books and a dollhouse for barbies and stuffed animals. Plus, isn’t it just adorable?
