Here are some bonus tips to recreate this budget-friendly front porch holiday look: Check those outdoor ratings. Unless you have a fully covered porch, make sure everything - from garland and bows to lights - is rated for outdoor use. I’ve had velvet bows bleed and get moldy when wet, and lights die fast because they were only rated for covered outdoor spaces. Start with an inexpensive base garland. This pre-lit base garland was only $30 for 9 feet (I used two) from @homedepot Layering in fresh greens with the faux instantly makes it look fuller, more organic, and way more expensive. Get creative with how you attach it. If you can’t staple chicken wire into your trim, try outdoor light clips, outdoor Command hooks, or even building a simple wood frame that fits around your door and attaching everything to that.
