Beadboard > drywall Okay, we’ll still use drywall in other projects too but using beadboard panels in its place was the best shortcut! We needed to squeeze every inch out of this laundry room that we could to fit cabinets and the panels were slightly thinner than drywall. ✅ Walls and ceiling finished in half the time ✅ Less time and effort sanding ✅ Less mess ✅ Tons more vintage character Who else hates sanding drywall? 🙋♀️ Be sure to use fire rated MDF or PVC panels and check your local building codes before you start. For our situation, this is to code since it’s a like-kind replacement. We still have a couple more projects planned for in here before we officially call it done!
