My quarantine crew. ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡️We stayed in. ⚡️We sacrificed. ⚡️We had hard conversations. ⚡️We missed out on celebrations with friends. ⚡️We had many frustrating moments. ⚡️We have no family nearby. ⚡️We chose our health over everything and chose to do school from home. ⚡️We had even more conversations about race. Even with our oldest child - in a way she could understand - bc trying to “shelter our child” does her a huge disservice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...but even though this year was far from what we expected or even wanted... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨We found new ways to entertain ourselves mindfully. ✨We were still able to connect with friends in a different way, whether it was virtually or just for a quick moment of play. ✨We learned the ins and outs of what makes us operate as the best family. ✨We got rest & enjoyed the slower moments as much as we could. ✨We truly understand the deeper meaning of being a family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2020 hasn’t been easy for us whatsoever. Many days we felt lonely or isolated. We missed just being with friends and family like normal. Nevertheless, 2020 not only made us dig deeper into knowing the Lord, but the year gave us the opportunity to grow & learn together. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And even though I personally want to toss 2020 against a wall, I’d be lying if I didn’t acknowledge the pain the year brought truly changed everything for us. It’s not all good, but we hold to God’s promise that it’s all working together for our good. 📸: @madeyoulookatl http://liketk.it/34FwR liketkit @liketoknow.it
