As much as you all know I love painting things white…I didn’t feel like it was appropriate here. I wanted my house to feel elevated and updated, yet still timeless and classic. Most importantly, I wanted it to still blend with the style and color palette of my neighborhood. I love a painted brick home, but don’t love when it doesn’t feel cohesive with the neighborhood. There are still plenty of upgrades you can make to a natural brick home without actually painting the brick. I chose to add shutters, new paint, update the front door, add in all new landscaping and hardscaping, and install new top of the line windows.
