I ran across this video on YouTube that showed how to put the heel drag guard on the Rick Owens shoes. And I figured if it was going to protect my investment I might as well give it a shot.

this will not work on shoes if they have an air bubble and you plan on kneeling in the heel drag guard.

So after installing the heel drag guard about eight months now I haven’t had any issues with the nails in the sole of the shoe. Mind you I also measured the nail before hammering it into the sole of the shoe to make sure it wouldn’t poke me. If this is something you were thinking about honestly it’s worked out for me but if you want to give it a shot you can find videos online on how to do it it’s pretty easy.

Now with the sizing of the leather rakes I wish I had size down and got an 11 1/2. I normally wear a 12 but with the leather stretching in the shoe being wide I should’ve size down.
