We finally added a pergola to our back deck! We got the 12x14 size and it came in 3 giant boxes. It was raw cedar and I stained it using a semi transparent deck stain from Valspar in the color acorn top.

Can’t wait to create the Al fresco dining space of my dreams!

The evolution of our half bathroom 🤩 did you know you can tile over existing tile? There was so much tile already on the walls that when we started talking about renovating this space, my FIL (who is a tile setter by trade) recommended we just go right over it. It saved us A LOT of demo and mess and as long as your existing tile is in good condition, you shouldn’t have any issues. And I’m here to tell you that 7 years later it’s held up great 🙌🏻

Last year we gave this room a refresh to repair the vanity and faucet and bring the whole space up to date with my evolving style.

Over the years I’ve shifted from a more clean modern look, to a layered vintage style - paying closer attention to details and infusing lots of character. We are always changing and evolving and our homes should be a reflection of that.

Who else goes crazy trying to hide & organize all the shoes in your family? 🙋🏻‍♀️ when we first renovated this room, we had one baby and shoe storage was not at the top of my priority list. Fast forward to two years ago when we updated this space and had 3 kids and I realized how quickly it can get out of control.

I made sure we created a more functional space that allowed for LOTS of shoe storage and organization options. The adults shoes go behind the curtain, the kids each have their own pull out shelf and extra/seasonal shoes go in the dresser.

Do they always get put away where they’re supposed to? Absolutely not 🤣 but this helps a ton!

I sanded it down, and gave a cost of my favorite dark walnut gel stain and topped it off with the cutest ruffled cushion!
