Purples have always been a bit of a mystery in the color analysis world. If you follow a four season system, you know the range of purples is HIIGHLY underrepresented. I grabbed this Ann Taylor blazer because as an autumn, I was noticing so much of my closet was mid-value colors (which are my best) but that I needed some variety so that I could have some options to create more medium contrast looks. IMO - this is where this color fits: - it’s a warm leaning purple, putting it in the spring and autumn range - chroma is medium - while the color itself is relatively clear, the tweed details soften the overall appearance, however IRL I wouldn’t consider it a “soft” color - value is low (light). This for sure makes it work for our light and true springs. But if you are like me and want/need value contrast, this color also would be a great option for true autumns.
