Day 3: Amelia Island -> Disney! We woke up slowly & Joe & Amelia got coffee & hot chocolate. Then we went to breakfast at Flora Belle’s & we all got the breakfast buffet- it was probably one of the most delicious buffets I’ve had… they offered so many more options than pancakes & omelets plus they had a GF station! We got back in the car around 11:45 & started our drive to Disney & arrived at The Wilderness Lodge around 3:15. We saw our friend Ricardo & then switched rooms because our first room had a closed balcony. Then we ordered an uber to Disney Springs to do a little shopping before hopping on a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge to have dinner at Boma. We got another uber back to the Lodge, stopped by our gift shop, & then relaxed in bed. It was a really great first night!

Day 4- Pool Day!
We woke up earlier than I expected but just relaxed. Joseph & I went & got coffee & reusable cups (bring back the stainless steel, Disney!) & then got ready to head to a quick breakfast & get a spot by the pool. We swam all day, played foosball, made pillows, met a new friend, & played some pool games. Then we got showered & dressed to head to the Boardwalk for dinner! We are ate at Trattoria Al Forno & it was delicious- this was our second year returning & I’d go again. We got ice cream, watched a show on the Boardwalk, & got a Minnie Van home… then we met friends while the kids watched Lilo & Stitch. One of my favorite days 🩷

Day 5- Animal Kingdom- Hollywood Studios- Epcot
We left the hotel at 7:15am & didn’t get home til after 8pm this day! We had breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (one of our favorites!), rode a few rides, & then headed to Hollywood Studios where we rode a few more (& we all rode Smuggler’s Run for the first time!). Then we took the boat to Epcot, rode more rides, & ate at the Rose & Crown in the UK… where we discovered we all love shepherd’s pie (& lost these ears on the way home 😩). We were exhausted to say the least but we had such a great first day in the parks! #disney #waltdisneyworld #disneyvacation

Day 6- Magic Kingdom
Because we had such a crazy day the day before, we started the day trying not to rush around too much. We (Amelia) slept in a little (like, 7:30 😂), grabbed a quick breakfast, & headed over to the Magic Kingdom! We rode a lot of rides with Lightning Lane, went back to the hotel for lunch & a quick swim, showered, & then caught the boat to the Contrmporary for dinner at Chef Mickey’s. We walked to the MK from there & did a few more rides before getting back on the boat to go back to our hotel

I tried really hard not to overpack for Disney this year so I packed a lot of things I could rewear like these gingham shorts! I paired it with this red tank for dinner & it would look super cute with a sweatshirt over top, too… I also wore it over my swimsuit for the pool. I’m so far behind on our trip recap but here’s Day 3: Savannah- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! We ordered room service for breakfast at The Alida & left around 10:30 for Disney World! It’s a long 3 days of driving but it’s the best feeling when you drive under the Walt Disney World arch & everyone cheers! We checked into the Wilderness Lodge (our favorite hotel), saw our favorite friend here, & headed to check out Disney Springs before going to Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner. The food was so good (buffet style with an African theme) & it felt really nostalgic for me because the last time I was there was 17 years ago with my family & my Pop Pop who passed a few years ago. We walked outside after dinner & were excited to see giraffe, zebra, & a few other animals! We took a Lyft back to our hotel because the buses don’t run hotel to hotel & we were exhausted! It was a really fun first day!

Day 4- We woke up & had a slow morning opening the kids’ first souvenirs & drinking our coffee looking out onto the pool from our balcony. We ate a quick breakfast at the hotel & then my Aunt arrived 😁! We swam for most of the day & then, around 3, we headed back to get showers, get dressed, & then take the bus (& boat) to the Boardwalk. We had dinner at Trattoria Al Forno, which was delicious (the lasagna, chicken parm, & gnocchi were so good!), watched a jump rope show, got ice cream, & took a Minnie Van back to the hotel. It was a good day!

The Grand Floridian Cafe is one of our favorite places to eat when we’re in Disney World (they have dirt dessert for the kids & so it’s always high on their list)! I don’t know if we can ever give it up now since this photo series is one of my favorites ever…

Day 5- We had another really nice slow morning at the hotel before getting breakfast and going to the pool. There’s 2 pools at the Wilderness Lodge & A & I went back & forth but J likes to stay where the water slide is or to play foosball & ping pong. We had a little extra time before our dinner reservation so we stopped at the arcade (J’s other favorite place 😂). Then we took to boat to the Magic Kingdom & the monorail to the Grand Floridian where we had our traditional night at the GF Cafe & it was really good!

Day 6- We always start with our first day in the parks at the Magic Kingdom because it’s everyone’s favorite ✨ We took the boat over & started out with an early breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh & friends & then walked right on to Jungle Cruise for our first ride 🌴 We got the new Lightning Lane multi pass for this day & it was definitely worth it- we did so many rides this day… like, almost 20 (@marykatevacations was SO helpful with this!)! We did Tiana’s Bayou Adventure twice thanks to the Lightning Lane & rider swap @
& it would have been worth it just for that (otherwise, you had to join a virtual queue & that always feels stressful to me). After a long day in the park, we went back to our hotel & had dinner at Artist Point with Snow White & the Evil Queen 👑🍎🎀💎❤️ #DisneyWorld #BAMDisney #LTKDisney #travelwithkids
