🖼️ Gallery wall tips!
1. Mix and match size and shape - the variety in size creates a random look and adds dimension. It helps guide your eye to keep looking for more! I like keeping things in the relatively same size family (these are all medium pieces around 12x12 inches) for cohesiveness, but play with mixing all kinds of pieces and shapes. Have fun with it!
2. Add texture - adding a faux plant or knit wall hanging adds incredible dimension and a tactile element to your wall.
3. Mix materials - I love pairing wood, metal, and glass to create a huge variety and depth to a small space. Target, World Market, Home Goods and Hobby Lobby are my favorite places to shop for wall decor.
4. Plan your placement - I highly recommend laying your pieces out on the floor. Then you can easily move them around to find an arrangement you like. Command Strips are the GOAT for these projects…you can easily move something if you don’t like where you put it on the wall, and bonus you don’t put any holes in your wall. One day if you want to replace a piece or add something new, you can do it without damaging your wall. Flexibility = endless!
