I usually prefer dressing casually more so than I do dressing up, but Michelle’s baby dinner (she wouldn’t let me throw her either a gender reveal or a shower 🙄) called for feathers. A long time ago, someone who I respect very much — an older woman who raised a great family and owns her own business — told me how important she believes it is to have good girlfriends throughout life. During my freshman year of college, I was blessed to meet a group of forever friends, who have been with me through every major milestone in my life — the good, the bad and the very ugly. Although they’re super private and hate social media, they’re literally family to me, and Michelle is the first in to have a baby. I’m elated for her and Patrick; they’re going to have to kick me out of their apartment once the little guy comes.
