A simple weekend look with some nice details.
This sweatshirt is soft and comfy, and the knot detail adds a little extra something and keeps the length really good with no tucking in.

This weeks Zara shortlist is so good.
Lovely pieces to take you into the next season in style.

Starting with these barrel trousers. A fabulous, flattering shape, and the fabric has a good stretch to it whilst still keeping its shape. More forgiving on the hips than the similar style from Uniqlo so these are for you if you are wider across the hip. I’m in a medium.

Next it’s a great knitted tee in rich navy. The cotton trim at the sleeve gives it interesting and texture - a great transitional piece and a really elevated basic. I’m in a medium

This jacket is a light fabric - great for the slightly cooler days. It has clever pleats which give it a lovely shape without the need for a drawstring and it comes in three versatile shades.

And if you’re looking for something super comfy to wear throughout late summer or you have a holiday coming This co ord is for you. 100% cotton, super soft, and both pieces are very flattering and easy to style.

The new in trousers @Zara which are all set to go viral.

These are similar to the viral jersey barrel trousers from Uniqlo - with a couple of major differences.

This fabric has more of a stretch to it - so if you found the Uniqlo pair too tight across the hip - these are the ones for you.

They’re longer - sitting full length on me ( I’m 5’7) and they’re cheaper at just £27.99

The khaki is lovely and rich (Uniqlo discontinued the khaki). They also come in a fab off white.

I love them and they’ll be great to pair with slim boots and trainers in the autumn.

As always, I’ve tried and tested lots of high street pieces this month, but only a few made it into my permanent wardrobe.

It’s a funny time of year - we’re still enjoying this beautiful weather but there are jumper and coats crushing into the shops.
I’ve chosen pieces that are great for now and will take me forward as the season changes.
Fabulous barrel jeans, the most wearable balloon trousers, the vests I’ll wear for years and the bargain jacket I’m obsessed with.
