It’s time for my weekly Zara Shortlist. This will I’ve chosen timeless pieces you’ll reach for year after year.

These pieces have great shapes, fabrics and versatility to help you build your summer capsule wardrobe.
Denim shorts can be so tricky but these are a great shape. Higher waist with a nice wide leg.
The co ord is a sophisticated but easy option for a summer event or holiday look. The belt gives it shape and the floor of the fabric makes it feel effortless.
A linen popover is one of my summer essentials. Great with shorts to feel summery without trying too hard, and the classic linen shirt in rich navy is great for work, play and everything in between.

I love the look of silk trousers and I think I’ve found a way to style them that feels less dressy - and more like me.

Pairing them with an effortless linen shirt makes it feel less glam and more daytime appropriate.
Adding chunky jewellery gives it polish and then simple flip flops and a woven bag gives texture and contrast.
