Working to make a very “builder-grade” home a bit more elevated. I cannot wait to hang my new light fixture from #westelm. I got the milky white shades to nod to a bit of a schoolhouse look with a dose of mid century.

Why buy a toy basket when you can store your toys (or your 5 year old) in a boat? My little one loves this boat. I thought he’d be too big for it but as a near 60 pound 5 year old, he loves cuddling up in it.

Home studio vibes! Washable rug came in handy when my 4 year old reached a little too far for some paint and tipped this entire easel over. 😜

Easy dinner, easy cleanup.

This little step stool is my favorite recent target find. The birthday boy is in arm’s reach as my little helper now thanks to this sweet little stool (and that bottom step folds in when that first step isn’t needed). I love it.

A year in and I still love her.

My go-to is pairing modern pieces (this kids play table from West Elm) with vintage market finds (these youth stadium chairs). Also, baskets solve all storage solutions for quick toy clean-up.

In Louisiana, you can wear sandals well into “fall.” There are just two seasons here, the core of the earth and a soggy and humid winter. There is no in between.

I am nothing if not branded. Travel weekend is set with a capsule wardrobe of 7 outsides and three pairs of shoes …all in my carry-on. Because nobody here is trying to check a bag if she doesn’t have to.

This little tree house has been used as a step stool to see out the window and chair to sit on. Still going strong two years in. Be on the lookout for a holiday gift guide for toddlers and big kids soon. ✨

Washed away the weekend. This claw foot tub sprayer has diligently been used as a pretend phone from “back in the day” when phones were connected to the wall (as my older offspring explains).

New or old tubs, brass and porcelain will always bring a touch of vintage into your bathroom space.
