I loved reading thorough historical fiction about Jane Boleyn and appreciated the way Gregory characterized Henry VIII as tyrant rather than royal eccentric.

Historical fiction is about both the past and the present, in a lot of ways, and this is a must-read book on both accounts.

A quick mirror selfie to show off these great twill pants @Ruti sent me! #gifted I love the green, of course, and the fit — slimmer through the hips with their perfected barrel leg style kicking off at the base of the pockets. Lightweight with a little stretch, these fit true to size. I usually get their petite styles, but these are the regular length, and they still work for me. I might cuff the bottom, too — that’d be a cute added texture, I think!
