All four of our kids have had some sort of eczema but Hayden’s was by far the worst - causing lots of uncomfortable days and major skin issues. We finally found a few things that have worked - without steroid creams 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 1. Diet shifts - removing dairy, gluten 😭, and seed oils. This has been a huge learning experience for me not realizing that so many of my favorite store-bought snacks use seed oils 🥴 2. Bath tub filter - our water is hard where we live and has dried our skin out (everyone in the house). We’ve been ASHYYY which hasn’t been great for Hayden. Using the bath tub filter has definitely help soften the water and remove the contaminants that can be in our water. Would love any recommendations on whole house water filtration systems! 3. Olive oil and breastmilk - I got this tip from a grandma and it worked! I used about a tsp of olive oil mixed with freshly expressed breast milk and rub it all over his body multiple times a day. Breast milk is so powerful with eczema. While it worked very well in the beginning, the winter months plus our water required more to lock in the moisture. 4. @earthleywellness Skin Soothing Balm - another mama shared this with me and because I already used their products, I decided to try it out before falling to Vaseline out of desperation. This stuff if MAGIC 🪄. Seriously, the consistency and ingredients keep him greasy all day just like I like it and it’s cleared him up as well. Strongly recommend (and no I’m not getting paid to say this). What other things have been helpful for you?👇🏽 Also, I did NOT know Harper was filming herself on my phone until she was done 😆😆😆 but it worked out perfectly to add to my phone.
