14 hours, 3 kids, and basically zero sleep… we survived!! 😅✈️ Long travel days with kids are no joke, but a little prep makes a huge difference. We recently tackled a 14+ hour flight as a family of five, and these are the things that truly saved us. 👏🏻 My go-to survival tips & travel items for flying with kids: • Pack lots of snacks they already love. Familiar snacks can fix a lot of moods mid-flight. • Bring a few brand new toys or activities. When they’ve never seen them before, the excitement keeps their attention so much longer. 🙌🏻 • Busy activities are everything. Busy board books (amazing for toddlers), sticker books, coloring pages, notebooks, and clickable markers so you’re not constantly chasing lost caps. ✍️ • Load tablets ahead of time with their favorite games, movies, and shows. Tip: If you have YouTube Premium, you can download their favorite videos so they can watch offline. 💻 • Pack extra plastic bags. For trash, spills, wet clothes… they always come in handy. • Always pack extra clothes and underwear for everyone. Not just the kids. 👚👖 • Compression socks for the parents. Trust me on this one. 😆👏🏻 • Seat extenders helped a lot. My kids were able to stretch their legs out and get more comfortable when they napped. • Bring your stroller all the way to the gate and gate check it. It makes navigating the airport so much easier with bags and tired kids. • Let the kids run around before boarding. The more energy they burn before the flight, the better chance they’ll rest once you’re in the air. 🏃🏻 Traveling with kids definitely isn’t easy, but these little things helped our flight go so much smoother. Saving this here in case it helps another parent heading into a long travel day soon. ✈️🏝️ LTKmomlife LTKTravel LTKKids
