The official poolside hat of 2023! If you’re melasma prone, you’re going to want to read this… Heat alone aggravates melasma which we can’t control as much as we can on the surface. Here is how I triple protect during the summer and especially when I’m in the water: 1. Wide brim hat (shades the face, but this is not enough alone bc the reflection from the water still hits your face, so double down with sunscreen and/or sunblock) 2. Mineral sunscreen (lightweight and works well under makeup + works double time to repair existing sun damage while protecting against further damage) 3. A light layer of my cream foundation (contains titanium dioxide which acts as a sunblock) I also have a mineral powder sunscreen in my purse to keep up with reapplying throughout the day. Think of sunblock as a shield and sunscreen as a window screen: • Sunblock blocks harmful rays • Sunscreen filters harmful rays #LTKfit
