I try to invest in pieces that I can wear season after season. Just like interiors I prefer to purchase something that won’t go out of style in five minutes. I’ve owned the straw tote for several seasons and still love it as much as when I first purchased it. The floral jacket makes such a statement and would make any outfit. I wanted to share some of the lighting selections I’ll be using in Laurel House. My goal with the lighting is to keep an overall classic but slightly granny chic look with some unexpected touches. Who says your small bathroom can’t feel like a high end hotel luxury bath? Not me. In our lower level bathroom reno there was very little natural light. For this reason I decided to go dark and dramatic and embrace the fact that it was not a light and bright space to beginning with. I balanced the dark walls with white penny tile and marble subway tile on the shower walls. A Danby marble countertop further balanced the dark walls and brass and polished nickel accents add to the old fashion mood while adding some shine. One of my favorite things about this bathroom are the antique mirrors I found for above the sink and toilet.
