This Christmas, my heart feels so full. We happen to be one of the few families who use their dining room for all meals including family weeknight dinners, (due to the fact that I don't have an eat-in kitchen or island with seating). It's been a challenge to catch this room in Insta-condition over the last few weeks, as Jake has been using the table to study for finals, but this morning the light was SO good! Every detail of this space reflects the traditional touches I wanted to add. Including a platter that my Mom bought in the 80's that we used to put milk & cookies on for Santa! The Christmas season is flying by & I can't help but soak it all in, hoping to make the season last a little longer! It's the little finishing touches like the plaid chandelier shades & my beautiful @kingofchristmas tree that took this busy space to the next level. A simple red bow can make a cake dish or even your ordinary light fixture feel magical. From the plaid ribbon ornate with gold trim, to the vintage platter, everything feels like it's been placed with memories of Christmas' past. I hope this inspires you to add those heartfelt finishing touches & to spend some quality time at your table with your family.
