L O V E is an inside job 💙

Feeling happy is definitely subjective. Some days are great. I keep busy, have help with the baby, house is organized, it’s honestly amazing. But then some days, well some days are really hard. It’s difficult to explain unless you’ve been through it. But all I can say is have people around you that make you feel like sunshine. Because those people are the ones who will bring you back when you can’t do it yourself.

You are WORTHY 🤍

Y’all. Postpartum recovery is WILD. Listen, I had an incredible pregnancy. No complications and really no sickness at all. My delivery wasn’t what we expected but a huge success. I am so unbelievably fortunate that everything went great and I really try not to complain because I know soooo many women do not have this experience. Plus, I have the most supportive family and friends a girl could ever ask for.

With that being said, postpartum hormones are the CRAZIEST feeling a woman will probably ever experience. Some days I feel INCREDIBLE. Like I can take on the world. And others, well let’s just say I’ve never felt so low. But I am really trying to remind myself that I can do this. I am worthy. That this is really all temporary.

Moms have the weight of the world on their shoulders. We’re expected to give birth, bounce back (physically and emotionally), contribute to the house, go back to work, take care of our children, make time for ourselves (but put everyone else first) and all while trying to figure out who this new person is. All we want is to feel “normal” again.

I’m sorry for rambling on!! But I realized something: I started this social media journey in an effort to give myself some confidence in a world that judges women on everything. So I’m going back to basics! Posting about fun outfits and fashion even though my body looks different. Slowly but surely, I’ll feel like me again.
