I bought this rocking chair to do just that, except we don't have a front porch. I do, however, have a she shed with a front deck that needs just that! Metal chairs just can't take the weather here in Florida, with the sun, rain, wind, salty air, and hurricanes. This is my answer to outdoor furniture where the seats and the legs don't rust out!
