Here’s a quick look at how I made my DIY pleated lampshades! This was such a fun, easy, and satisfying project, and I’m already planning to do another pair soon for another spot in our house. I used these shades for my new @pridoladesigns wireless sconces in the living room, and this was just about the easiest custom lighting project ever. These sconces require no hardwiring and come with rechargeable LED bulbs, making installation almost effortless. They bring such a lovely glow to this room and were the perfect upgrade for this awkward empty wall.

While everyone is starting to deck their halls, I’m just over here sneaking in one more little garden project to celebrate the beauty of fall on our new back deck. This solar birdbath fountain from @popsoapsolar is perfect for turning any vessel, pot, or even an antique bowl into a charming fountain for your garden. All you need are a few stones and some sunlight. I’ve been waiting for years to find the perfect birdbath for my backyard, but I think I might love this solution using vintage repurposed finds even more. Find the link to the pump I used in my bio!

We don’t talk enough about how important curtains are to a space, but they truly are such an essential foundational element for making a room feel like it makes sense. These beautiful @twopageswindow curtains bring so much character, personality, and coziness to this room and I’m so glad that I went with my heart and chose this gorgeous pattern instead of sticking with something solid like I usually use in here. It just goes to show that when it comes to choosing the right pattern and fabric, one rule reigns supreme: If you love something, especially a certain pair of curtains, just go for it. Curtain fabric color is “Travertine!"
