I'm not really one to make New Year's resolutions or really even goals, for that matter. I'm not sure what that says about me, but I'm sure it says something. I think it's because I already put a lot of pressure on myself, so I know adding goals and resolutions might just put me over the edge -ha! BUT I am into habits, which is why if there is one book I'd recommend to kick start your New Year, it would be Atomic Habits by James Clear! I read it last year, and I'm going to read it again this year! After reading it last year, I made a few changes that really helped me function better. This year, the main habit I'm hoping to establish is to get dressed into something I can wear outside the house as soon as I get up. I may need to redefine this habit a bit, like maybe give myself a time limit instead, but here's my reasoning- when I'm working from home (days I'm not out and about with clients), it's very easy for me to stay in my pajamas until 10:30 or later. #workingfromhomeproblems I get busy jamming away on my computer and then all of a sudden it's 10:30! Something happens to my psyche when I look at the clock anytime past 10:30 and realize I'm still in my pajamas. Not to mention, it throws my entire day off because I have to go get ready right in the middle of the task I was jamming away at. Or sometimes I put off getting ready because I want to finish my task, and then, of course, it doesn't happen at all! I know if I can implement this habit it will help me function so much better and be more productive! One of the reasons I hate getting dressed in the morning is because I get so cold. I thought about putting my outfit by my bed, so I can change into my clothes while I'm still in my warm bed. I have a friend who sleeps in her workout wear, which I tried, but the leggings were annoying to me in the middle of the night. What's your habit for getting dressed in the morning? I need help, and I'm open to any and all your ideas! I have a feeling a lot of days my outfit will look something along the lines of this one! P.S. My favorite tee is on SALE!
