One of my favourite things in the world is to travel but maybe even more than that is to hunt for the best air b and b I can find 😂. This doesn’t mean the most expensive or the fanciest, but one that is thoughtfully decorated, interesting, in a good location, comfortable and also has little details that make you feel taken care of and at home. We stayed at “La Pausa” in valladolid and it was one of the best @airbnb ‘s I’ve ever stayed in. They had chocolates on the nightstands, little branded books that explained some house hold thing you needed know and beautiful decorative touches ALL over the house. -Treat your guest bedroom like you would your own bedroom.
-And if possible make it feel like a hotel by adding thought details and touches.
-Having a bench at the end of the bed not only makes a bedroom feel complete but it can also be really functional for someone to place their suitcase (like in a hotel ;)
-Lastly, if the rooms allows, try and center the bed with two nightstands so each guest can have their own little station.

I LOVE a multi purpose room! Especially a multi purpose bedroom.

Many of you would consider the bedroom to be a sanctuary, a place where work should not be done, and while I do agree with that (even though I often work from my bed ;) , I also think we often need to get clever and innovative with how we use our spaces for our own individual needs especially with the wide variation in home sizes these days.

Does your work space inspire you?

I’ve never worked in an office that had t-bar ceilings and fluorescent lighting but the thought of it makes me feel a little sad.

No judgement at all, but I do think that taking into consideration our surroundings when it comes to where we work is really important as we spend many hours in these spaces.

When going to design and decorate a baby’s room my thought process is always “how timeless can we make the space?”. Of course you want it to be special, fun and not feel like a room for an adult, but I think there are ways to do both so that the pieces you are investing in can be re-purposed or can grow with the child as they get older.
