Do you really have curly hair if you never used any SheaMoisture products?

When I first started wearing my curls in college, SheaMoisture was one of the first brands I tried and loved.

So it was fun to revisit their Coconut & Hibiscus line to style my curls. I’ve been a braidout fanatic lately and these hair products held up well for that easy hairstyle!

I ended up with a fluffy braidout, super shiny and soft! Not bad for a late night wash day session.

Are you team precleanse? Oil based cleansers can be intimidating as someone with oily, acne prone skin. So I was happy that my skin responded well to Dermalogica’s Precleanse! I love how smooth my skin feels after using it and it does a great job at breaking down makeup too.

Most days I run out of the house without makeup on, but when I’m on short in time, having a foundation stick is perfect!

I have acne prone skin so I’m no stranger to dark spots. I like lightweight makeup that evens my complexion while still looking natural.

Live Tinted foundation stick definitely fits the description!

Heatless overnight curl unboxing✨

I like for my silk press to have a little bit of curl to it so heatless curls overnight is the easiest way to achieve that!

I tested out these scrunchies by Yanibest and they seemed to do the trick.

You’ll never find me ashy, morning or night.

I love resetting at night with a good shower and immediately following that up with a moisturizer that lasts.

I’ve been using amika’s new big embrace smoothing whipped body butter and I’m loving how soft and moisturized my skin feels.

It’s definitely not as thick as traditional body butters, but it still packs moisture without having to use a lot of product. It does a have a light fruity scent, but it isn’t overpowering and layers well with my other fragrances!

I bought Cecred’s detangling spray for my braid takedown a few months ago (it worked great on detangling my stretched hair) and decided to put it to the test on my curls in their natural state.

I appreciate the wide spray that the nozzle on this bottle gives and as you can see I was pretty generous with the product. I felt like it was necessary to be pretty heavy handed with my application because I didn’t want to feel like i was tearing through my hair trying to detangle it.

Once my hair was saturated, this spray did an excellent job at detangling. However, for the price, I can’t say that it’s entirely worth it (if you plan to use it on detangling your curly hair) since I only got 3 uses out of it.

It may be better for detangling stretched hair only to get more uses

Nothing like heading to Ulta to restock on your skincare and stumbling across a sale! I ended up shopping in store at the right time because a lot of brands had sales going on. This, of course, led me to buying more than skincare, but I can’t resist a good sale.

I had to restock on my Cocokind favorites (magnesium mist and electrolyte water cream) and try out a product I’ve never used by them before (ceramide oil stick).

Of course I couldn’t pass up looking at hair products. I snagged Cecred’s new wrap and set foam. I also grabbed Rizo Curl’s hair wax stick while I stretch out this old silk press.

I was so close to skipping wash day, but then I remembered how good my scalp and hair feels after a good cleansing session.

The Cécred hydrating shampoo has been in my rotation heavily, but it’s been a while since I’ve used their detox shampoo.

The detox shampoo brings plenty of lather with a slight minty tingle to my scalp.

The hydrating shampoo never disappoints. It gives a nice lather without stripping my curls.

Lastly, the moisturizing deep conditioner. It has a nice consistency-not too thin and not overly thick. Detangling my hair was easy and once I rinsed it out my hair felt very soft.

I don’t straighten my hair often at home, but this WavyTalk straightening brush makes it super easy to switch up my curls at home.

I love that it comes with hair clips & gloves. It’s super easy to use as well

I love a good body scrub and this one by Naturium did not disappoint.

It’s a sugar scrub that doesn’t scrape my skin, but still leaves it super smooth after using it.

It has the same lightweight oil scent as the rest of the glow getter line. A little goes a long way so it’ll last you awhile!

I love a good scent and have recently begun playing around with layering my fragrances.

Nothing like a little morning skincare routine.

Now that my acne is better controlled, my skincare routine has been pretty simple. I’m not even using actives at this time! Just cleanse, tone, dark spot treatment, moisturizer + barrier lotion and sunscreen (in the am).

I still have some lovely memories of acne’s last (my skin will get a dark spot so easily & I have a bad habit of picking at my skin sometimes😭)

BUT, they seem to be fading slowly, but surely so I’m definitely happy with the progress my skin has made.

Products:

-cocokind magnesium mist & electrolyte water cream (lightweight mist & toner; feels great on my skin)

-cleanskinclub towels (love how soft these are; I cut them to make them last & because I don’t necessarily need a full towel to dry my face)
-stratiaskin lipid gold (skinbarrier support; super helpful when my acne was going crazy)

I love a good braid out on my natural hair and this came out so good! I used TGIN buttercream as my base and it left my curls so moisturized. To unravel my braids with little to no frizz, I used Cecred’s oil

The way this refresher spray brought my old braidout back to life!✨

I’ve been loving braidouts on my curls lately. While they can be long lasting, they still require a little TLC sometimes.

So I figured it would be the perfect time to put SheaMoisture kalahari melon curl stretch refresher spray to the test on my day 5 hair.

It has a nice tropical smell and definitely brought back moisture to my hair. I was also super happy with how my refreshed braidout turned out!

My hair felt more moisturized while also having good definition and elongation.

Maternity Dress Try On🤰🏾

Besides leggings, the only other maternity clothing I’ve gotten this pregnancy has been dresses! (Shoutout to me for buying oversized clothes pre pregnancy and my husband’s side of the closet😂)

All of these dresses are great for the warmer months ahead.
