Pirate Night
I tried convincing the kids to change for pirate night but they protested a bit. Nonetheless Ryan and I dressed up anyhow. By the way— I used my waterproof phone cover like a sling to carry my phone, key to the world card and hand sanitizer everywhere!

Day Three Dinner Outfits
Day 3 we had Dinner at 1923 and the kids wore matching Mickey spirit jerseys that I’d used to surprise them with our Disney Cruise vacation.
So cute but this was a temporary Disney Collection at Target and I cannot find them anywhere, so linking some cute ones I found and other Mickey and Minnie shirts!!

Outfit details for my little guys photoshoot!

I cannot believe my sweet boy turns three today. I remember this day three years ago— I was dilated to 5cm at the time of induction and all it took was my doctor breaking my water. Labor was fast and furious. His heart rate dropped with every contraction, and my nurse quickly inverted me and added fluid back to the amniotic sack. Shortly after was go time, but they prefaced emergency c-section was likely if I couldn’t get him out quick. He was out in about 3 minutes, unfortunately with the cord wrapped around his neck. While his labor was wild, he was my easiest baby; but he’s growing wild lately.

I explained to someone recently that having a daughter is like having a mini you and a built in little best friend. Having a son, though, feels like watching your heart walk outside of you. He may be wild but he is still the sweetest thing, always ready with a hug and unprompted “I love you Mommy!” He loves night time stories and morning snuggles, and remains my homebody. Please don’t ever change, Bren!

So today we will celebrate him— Young, Wild & Three!

First Day of School

I saw this idea and had to give it a try— hand stitching your child’s handwritten name onto a t-shirt. This is not only cute for her first day but will serve as a keep sake. I may add an ironed white patch behind to help preserve it even more.

Can’t wait to see what more she learns this next year.

Six years ago my favorite girl entered this world. Love capturing these moments with my friend @michellegracephotographytx!

Here’s how I’d describe her today:
• She’s caring- if she’s getting a treat and her brother isn’t present, she’s asks for two (one for him).
• She’s crafty- will sit for hours making bracelets, doing parlor beads, or working on some art projects. She loves rainbow, which is ironic because she’s my first rainbow baby.
• She’s athletic- she loves to play soccer, basketball, and soon will start softball.
• She’s intelligent- mathematically inclined and growing in her love of reading.
• She’s quick-witted- always ready with a correction and a come back.
• She’s sassy- especially when she’s tired. Thank goodness for naps!

Most importantly she has a heart of gold, and at age 5 discovered her heart for Jesus.

I’m beyond proud of the young lady she’s growing into, and I am grateful for the grace she gives me as my first child.

Savi-girl, please continue to be your authentic self. I love you and look forward to celebrating you today and always!
