I just finished Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett, and what a charming read it was! This atmospheric fantasy, set in 1909, follows the brilliant yet socially awkward scholar Emily Wilde as she journeys to a remote village to study the elusive fae. With its richly detailed world, wintry themes, and a touch of romance, this book feels like stepping into a cozy, magical adventure. Though perfect for a winter evening, Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries would also make a delightful springtime read especially if you love folklore, academia, and a little bit of whimsy. I can’t wait to continue the series! Have you read this one, or do you have a favorite fae-inspired book?
