Halo Week 1 is all about calming your skin, protecting the barrier, and keeping things as simple as humanly possible. These are the exact products I used after the first 24 hours, in the exact order I applied them.

If you’re prepping for a Halo—or you’re currently in that spicy, swollen phase—this is the routine that kept my skin hydrated, soothed, and supported while the MENDS did their thing:

What your skin needs this first week:
• Gentle cleansing only — no scrubs, no exfoliation, nothing abrasive
• Continuous hydration + barrier repair
• Zero actives (retinol, vitamin C, acids, exfoliants)
• SPF later in the week only when your skin can tolerate it
• Hands OFF the MENDS
• Breakouts are normal (I had a few surprise visitors 😅)
• Keep product off your hairline — trust me on this one
