Fun Fact: I love conspiracy theories. Legit you can catch me up at 2 am watching @secureteam10 videos and reading alternative news sites on the regular. One of my favorites is the theory that chapsticks and lip balms dry out your lips causing you to keep reapplying and purchasing. All jokes aside I literally have tried dozens of lip balms and moisturizers in pursuit of one that actually keeps my lips hydrated. I've used Vaseline for a while until I heard about the negative effects. So when I tried a sample of @glossier’s Balm Dot Com I was optimistic but didn’t have high expectations. However, I have been using this for weeks and I am in LOVE! This scent smells like vanilla cake and it has a faint shimmer which is nice for applying on clean dry lips or over a lipstick or gloss. BE AT PEACE// You are in control of the voices in your head. You have the power to say “I’m not good enough” or to be at peace with yourself. The conversation is not between the voices and you. It’s between you and yourself. I’ve had some amazing revelations in the past few days. Last weeks @soulcity sermon was amazing. It was about cutting out the drama in your life. At one point I swear pastor looked me in the eyes and said: “be at peace with yourself”. Strangely enough, since Sunday, I have been able to give myself such grace about being at peace. When the negative thoughts start to rush in I instantly repeat “be at peace” and it gives me permission to be in control. I’ve also started reading Michael A Signers’ #theuntheatheressoul. I’m only a few chapters in but it’s amazing how he takes topics like anxiety and dissects it in a way that makes it seem so easy to- not only control but conquer.
