Last week we went from celebrating a new baby boy to trying to trying to make our first baby boy feel like himself. From a photo shoot to multiple days of tears and tantrums... The best way I can describe motherhood is take every emotion and feeling you’ve ever felt, combine them all together, and then amplify times one million. . Some days everything is perfect; I get to shower, Nixon takes two full naps and eats all his food, and I feel well rested and we play all day. Some days we spend the entire day getting in sync, we never change out of our jammies, and I feel at the end of my rope. All the days are rewarding in their own way - sometimes the reward is feeling like I have got it all figured out, sometimes the reward is learning more about my little one and how he operates and sometimes the reward is putting Nixon to bed and getting to rest myself. . No matter what day you’re having, remember there is something to be learned, something to be loved, and something to look forward to. And just remember whether other moms share those experiences, we all have them. I feel you. I’m with you. We’ve got this. .
