Here’s a simple arrangement just in time for Valentine’s Day.
If you’ve ever spotted these rounded vases at the thrift store, they’re known as rose bowls, and here’s how to use one:
-Remove any leaves below the water line and trim stems to rest just above the edge of your vase when placed at an angle
-criss cross your stems to form a support
-continue removing the lower leaves and begin to trim stems slightly longer to create the dome shape
- adjust shape by trimming and rearranging as needed

I struggled for a while to figure out how to light this room. We couldn’t do sconces on the wall because of the curtains and didn’t want to sacrifice the limited space on our tiny nightstands. Tucking a pair of arc floor lamps behind the nightstands ended up being the perfect solution. They mimic the look and function of sconces and leave the tabletops clear.
