Feeling pretty alright about the progress I’ve made with our stairwell and upstairs hallways. Figuring out this space has been a mind warper. The stairwell is contiguous with our entryway and upstairs hallway. All spaces flow into one another. It’s taken me two years of indecision and baby steps to get this far. It’s definitely better than it was. Now we’ll live with it for awhile before deciding what needs to be tweaked and improved upon. Hey team! I am so in love with our new Shroom coffee table from @cb2. I’ve loved it from afar for years and am so excited to have a place for it in our home. We’ve only had it a few months. Over Christmas some sort of kid child spilled some sort of unknown substance on it, and it is now stained. Does anyone have tips on how to remove stains from a porous surface such as this? If i can lift the stain I’m going to cover it in clear car wax to protect it in the future. I used clear furniture wax originally, but it either wasn’t protective enough or I didn’t apply enough. Please help! ⠀

I really, really liked the vintage Windsor chairs that came with our cabin, and I tried to make them work (aka legit rebuilt one of them nearly every visit). No matter the amount of TLC I gave ‘em, they just wouldn’t stay fixed. I even fell flat on my big booty after a chair broke underneath me once. This was supposedly super funny to those who witnessed it. Whatever jerks. Now, thanks to a friendly recco from @thefauxmartha I was convinced these stackable metal (outdoor) modern Windsor chairs from Targ would be perfect. And they are. And now I don’t fall on my butt anymore (due to chairs, at least).
