Next time you thrift — buy the frames or item because you like it and figure out if you can make a craft project later. That’s what I did with these $7 thrifted frames “Cameo Creations”. I wasn’t sure if I could even disassemble or if I had to break the glass but just a little lifting revealed I could easily replace it all!

Imagine baby photos, maternity, wedding or portraits of your children in here! These bridal portraits are by my friend Brandy Jackson captured on film.

Link to similar and exact frames online you can buy to make this project! I was even thinking I could paint them blue but decided to keep them gold! Or use blue velvet instead of black. Make sure to write on the back the name of the person and date of the portrait for family to know how special these images are! Happy thrifting and upcycling!

When it’s time for you to put away Christmas, here are a few tips that I am implementing and I have found have helped for the following year.

Pack up each room in a labeled box specifically for that room.

Any zip ties you have on garlands that belong on hooks keep them on and just label which side is north south east or west and you can easily hang them back up the following year on the hooks.

This year for the first time we used our Christmas tree in a storage bag on rollers and it was a time saver. Just make sure you take off any breakable ornaments.

I always think about how to make it easier here after your because I want to do this for a long time! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and you are still enjoying your decorations. I will not be taking mine down until mid January. If you have any additional tips, please leave a comment below.

I found a free-standing TV stand on Amazon with hidden caster wheels and a lightweight HD 43” smart TV!

This was all we needed for outdoor entertaining for less than half the cost! We’re ready for football games and more!
